Just added, linked from my index page on Antique Typewriters, is a brand-new feature on Union Typewriter. This company, described by Darryl Rehr as "the nefarious typewriter trust" is very often mentioned in dissertations on typewriters during the time period that my antique site covers (1890's-1930's) and a lot has been written about it. So, I decided to build a complete time-line describing events inside the trust, and outside events affecting it, over essentially that time period. I believe this compilation to be unique, so if you're a fan of this period or are confused by events being referenced here and there, scattered over books and websites, check this out as everything will be in perspective.

Do you know how to get the repeat key to work?
I want to type the same line on a 3-part form.
I don't know how to get it to repeat.

I recently purchased a Smith and Corona, Clicker portable typewriter.
It is in prime working condition and comes with a locking case (with key intact. The case is bolted to the machine. Someone told me it is circa late 1960's.
Can you help me out regarding this model re: value, history etc?

It has Corona Typewriter Company along the lower bar, so not as early as the one you pictured. It is folding and it is in its case.
I am moving and clearing out, most things are going to the local dump. It seems a pity for this elderly portable typewriter to go there, are you interested in it, I am in the Bromley Kent area.
